Back From Break
🔥 What's next?
Hey there, friend,
I have spent the past week doing the bare minimum.
I have gone to work, ran immediately necessary errands, and ordered a lot more food than I’d like to admit on Doordash.
I have not been writing, reading, journaling, crocheting, socializing, or otherwise unless I wanted to.
And honestly? It’s been nice.
The truth is I want to get reconnected with writing for myself—before anybody else. I want to change how I approach Substack specifically, so I can grow here. And finally, I want to separate the content I write about myself vs. the content I write about others.
Which means my break must be longer than one week, and that sucks.
It sucks to say because I don’t want to give up on this—on you—but putting things to the side to examine them closer is, unfortunately, kind of a theme in my life right now.
My gut is telling my I need the rest of the year to explore myself.*
All I know is that if I keep doing things the way I’m doing them now, I’m not going to go in the direction I want to: a life of half-retirement throughout the entirety, not a life of dread (working full-time) followed by a life of loneliness (retired full-time).
Yeah, fuck that.
* I don’t know if I’ll actually be gone for five months.
I promise this is for the betterment of me, The Daily Divergent, and this brand overall.
x, Atlas
