Maybe I'm The Idiot
🔥 Knowledge nature vs. nurture
Hey there, friend,
Today, I had a fun interaction with myself I wanted to share.
See, in Alaska, we have a lot of robins.
An abundance of them, really.
I even have one nesting on my literal deck!
(This is where I’d insert a pic if I had one. Oops.)
But the thing about robins is… they fly kinda dumb.
I mean, these suckers swoop so close to the road when they fly—I’m talkin’ low.
It’s like they’re asking to get hit by a car!
…Or are they?
Maybe they’re just biologically designed to seek food everywhere… even before there were cars and roads.
Maybe I’m kinda dumb for not considering that in the first place.
Robins don’t live to accommodate humanity.
And humans don’t live to accommodate robins… sometimes.
Wonder if there was more we could do to live symbiotically.
x, Atlas
