I started my self-employment journey at my very first job, working for my dad’s tattoo shop.
As someone living with ADHD, I attribute most of my self-employment success to this job alone.
Working for my family opened me up to entrepreneurship as a pathway to employment, and, even though my job as a receptionist wasn’t anything groundbreaking, it gave me a vision of a life outside of the 9-5–a vision many people don’t get.
(In fact, if you’re curious, there’s a 45% connection rate to entrepreneurs and their families being entrepreneurs, so this story doesn’t surprise me.
Self-employment literally runs in the family.

How I Make Money With ADHD
Simply put: Employment doesn’t work for me.
So I had to get creative with my money-making endeavors from the very get-go.
